Salem's musical theatre minor provides a background in music, the history of musical theatre, studio training in voice, acting and four years of experience on the musical theatre stage. But theater at Salem is not limited to the musical stage. There is a vitally active, 50-year-old co-curricular theatre company, Pierrettes, that presents two productions per year, one "straight" play and one musical.
