The Center for Adult and Professional Studies is dedicated to providing working adults the opportunity to attain their educational goals in a flexible and intellectually stimulating environment. The interdisciplinary, interactive approach for which St. Andrews is known allows adult learners to bring all of their skills and life experience to the table. Faculty are eager to incorporate the student’s knowledge and experiences into classroom learning activities.
Degrees available to you through the Center for Adult and Professional Studies include the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Administration, Equine Business Management), Liberal Studies, Education (Elementary) and courses leading to Teacher Licensure.
Seeking practical knowledge without the time commitment necessary to pursue a degree? Consider our certificate programs in Equine Business Management, Therapeutic Horsemanship Business Management, and Organizational Leadership. Most students can complete certificate requirements in as little as a year.
Based on your needs and in consultation with your faculty advisor, you may enroll in classes at St. Andrews @ Sandhills, through St. Andrews ONLINE and on the main campus in Laurinburg. All courses earn college credit and may be applied to degree or certificate programs at St. Andrews, or may be transferred to other colleges and universities.
St Andrews recognizes the increasing educational needs of working adults whose work schedules and personal commitments do not allow them to pursue education during traditional daytime hours. We are committed to offer the flexibility of course location and educational programs to help students meet their goals while balancing career and family commitments. Classes are available in a traditional classroom format, on an evening/weekend schedule, fully online, and through a hybrid combination of these options.
