This is a professional course within the Secondary Initial Teacher Education scheme. The course leads to recommendation for Qualified Teacher Status for Key Stages 3 and 4 (11 16). Some training in post-16 teaching is also covered on the course. All courses in the Secondary Initial Teacher Education Scheme have a special interest in preparation for teaching in urban, multilingual contexts. Reflection on teaching practice is ongoing throughout the course and you record evidence of all your experiences in relation to the national standards for Qualified Teacher Status.

It also provides a foundation for further study. Graduates have found work with companies such as CBS Outdoor, Shazam Entertainment and Kobalt Music Ltd as Sales Coordinators, Copyright Assistants, Music Encoders and Events Managers.
