BA in Digital Media at University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Pennsylvania
Digital Media & Animation is a one year (stage 3) top up course that allows students with an FdA, HND or equivalent in Animation or Multimedia disciplines to convert their qualification into an honours degree.
Crossing between traditional areas of animation, media and digital arts practice, students will develop a number of projects in both brief-led and self-directed contexts.
The course includes a full lecture programme, regular input from external practitioners / academics and a breadth of tasks which range from the perfecting of traditional animation techniques to the development and dissemination of content that respond to the challenges of interactivity and experience design. All modules (except the dissertation) focus primarily on practical outputs, backed up with appropriate research and conceptualisation.
