BA in Dance Drama at University of Lincolnshire and Humberside United Kingdom
Dance and Drama at the University of Lincoln is for students who want to pursue the widest career possibilities in the performing arts through linking theoretical and practical, creative work with myriad vocational applications of performance skills.
Different techniques and approaches are experienced at every level of the programme. The Lincoln School of Performing Arts is working in partnership with Lincolnshire Dance, a regional professional dance agency, to train students to work in diverse areas of creative enterprise. The course will enable students to develop myriad skills that will allow them to operate successfully in the twenty-first century dance economy. Students are asked to embrace creative entrepreneurship so that their creative and intellectual skills will expand into diverse areas like work shopping methodology, teaching, dance therapy, community outreach, company formation and arts management. Work is pursued both academically through the Lincoln School of Performing Arts and through a variety of off-campus work placements, which will be arranged through the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre and Lincolnshire Dance.
The Joint in Dance and Drama is distinctive in that in that it combines a serious and detailed investigation of the processes of both Dance and Drama with the broad academic study of the literature, history and theory of both disciplines with an appropriate amount of exposure to acting, directing, dancing and choeorgraphing for the stage. In every unit the subject of performance is encountered.

With dance work in the twenty-first century expanding into areas beyond purely performance and choreography, this course aims to prepare students to work in a variety of theatrical and non-theatrical contexts: company formation, teaching, workshop leadership, arts management, dance and physical therapy, community and outreach activities, broadcasting and media, and post-graduate research and study. Students will be challenged to explore new areas of arts-related work where their skills as performers will be linked to new entrepreneurial challenges as stepping stones to rewarding careers.

This programme blends the theoretical and historical academic study of dance with practical and creative areas of technique, choreography and production.
More uniquely, students go on to link their academic and practical study to outside, community-based dance projects in order to experience how dance functions as a creative enterprise in the twenty-first century.

The Master Program provides qualified deepening and expansion of thematic and specific expertise.
On the Integrated Study Kulturwissenschaften are all represented in the KSF subjects involved: philosophy, history, sociology, religious studies, Jewish studies, political science, cultural and social anthropology, and economics (from FS 2009).
The course is not major and minor together, but interdisciplinary.
This means that the students focus on their content (Major) from the offer of the KSF themselves can choose.
The Master's degree is usually after four semesters with a Major in to write a Master's thesis and the master checks.
